The BMW 1 Series Convertible is the fourth model in the BMW 1 Series, following the five-door, the three-door and the Coupe, and continues to write the success story of this BMW model series.

Thomas Muderlak explains how the conventional soft top offers the very best in terms of noise and heat insulation, and how this roof concept allows the car to maintain that typical convertible silhouette with its low waistline so characteristic of BMW Convertibles.

Yet a further point is that this roof offers a significant reduction in weight, which contributes significally to saving fuel and reducing emissions.
