The BMW M3 model family is now being upgraded by another thrilling performer. Carsten Pries presents the world premiere of the new BMW M3 Convertible, the third body version of this high-performance sports car. Following the Coupé and Saloon, the M3 Convertible offers uncompromising driving dynamics in a new style. Compared with the 3 preceding generations from the past 20 years, this fourth generation of the M3 Convertible differs on an important point from its predecessors: the roof.

For the first time the M3 Convertible comes with a retractable roof. The three-piece roof guarantees unrestricted all-year motoring pleasure and excellent noise management within the interior.

Like the other models in the M3 Family, the M3 Convertible comes with an eight-cylinder. The specifications of this eight-cylinder are testimony to the F1 racing pedigree…. Another world premiere here in Geneva is the new BMW M Double-Clutch Gearbox with Drivelogic, available for all models of the M3 family. It offers an uninterrupted flow of power to the wheels. That means that the momentum built up when accelerating is never interrupted by changing gears….

In engineering terms: the flow of tourque is never interrupted. The result is that the BMW M3 with the double-clutch transmission accelerates significantly faster than with a manual transmission.
